This work focuses on the study of the antimicrobial activity of essential oils of orange. Several studies have shown that the essential oils of orange species Citrus sinensis have better inhibitory activity against Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) than Gram negative bacteria (E. coli). However, the determination of the efficacy of essential oils on microbial agents remains difficult to achieve, because of some uncontrollable external parameters such as the composition of essential oils, which varies according to environmental conditions. Keywords: Essential oils, antibacterial activity, sweet orange, E. coli, S. aureus.
